The Role
As a Planner and Scheduler, you will be a core contributor to project success, supporting owners, contractors, and consultants across a wide range of complex infrastructure and building projects.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules that drive execution, mitigate risk, and support claims-ready project controls.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-driven baseline schedules using Primavera P6
Support RFP and pursuit stages, including schedule narratives, methodologies, and compliance responses
Prepare and refine preliminary and master schedules prior to project start, ensuring realistic, achievable, and competitive sequencing
Perform regular progress updates (bi-weekly or monthly) and produce schedule health reports, dashboards, and narratives
Maintain schedule integrity, documenting changes, impacts, and mitigation measures
Identify and track schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities for recovery or acceleration
Develop and maintain databases of:
Productivity rates
Procurement durations
Long-lead items
Key project risk elements
Prepare as-planned vs. as-built and time-slice schedule analyses
Maintain detailed schedule logs and documentation suitable for claims, EOTs, and dispute resolution support

Experience
- 4–5 years of construction scheduling or project controls experience
- Experience with multiple project delivery methods, including:
- CCDC Contracts
- Lump Sum
- Design-Build
- CM-Unit Price Contracts - Experience supporting pre-construction and pursuit stages, including schedule development for RFP responses and proposals
- Experience performing bi-weekly or monthly schedule updates, progress evaluations, and schedule health reporting
- Experience preparing and maintaining:
- Schedule Logs
- Progress Narratives
- Impact and Mitigation records - Experience on ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) projects
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Strong working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 for schedule development, updating, and analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear schedule narratives and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Legally entitled to work in Canada, including Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or holding a valid open work permit
Nice to have
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Training or coursework through AACE or PMI scheduling modules
- Professional designations such as PSP (AACE) or PMI-SP are considered strong assets
- Eligibility for CSID / PSPC Reliability or Secret Clearance is an asset
